With the UK cut-off from the worlds oil supplies a new source of energy was urgently required. Fusion Works of Newcastle stepped up with a design that had been on the cards for years. With input from the JET Tokomak team at the Culham Science Centre. The new ARC Fusion reactor produces far more energy than was expected, providing over 90% of the UK's energy needs.
The next big advantage of the ARC fusion reactor came when the same technology could be shrunk down enabling them to be fitted to a variety of vehicles, homes, and factories.
Fusion Generators come in a variety of sizes. from the massive multiple Fusion Cores fitted to RSF Sol, to the UK's 2 Fusion Power Stations, and down to the smaller Fusion systems fitted to the London class submarines
Opal packs are small, solid state batteries with solid electrodes and solid electrolytes. They can be built in wafers and make up the cases of many everyday items. Large scale they are used in the shell of electric cars and other vehicles, smaller versions are used to power watches, phones, and computers. They are readily rechargeable by placing, or parking near a suitable charging point.
