Uproar in the UK when Brexit doesn't tackle EU Immigration

With the No deal Brexit fast approaching, a leaked document from Border Force establishes that whether there is a last minute deal or not, there will be no changes with EU immigration. All of the changes appear to be simply money making taxes, additional customs duties, and VAT added to imports!

A no deal Brexit fast approaching

At midnight tonight Great Britain will formally leave the European Union. After 2 years of negotiations the EU voted against the deal proposed by the UK. Britain will now enter the world market under the WTO rules. How this affects trade and movement is still unsure and unless the leaders of Britain and Europe decide to do something stupid people should still be able to move freely. Just not be able to work.

The European Union threats the UK with legal action over the Irish border

Although, on paper the UK has a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. In practice neither side has any border controls what-so-ever. Technically this is a loophole through which illegal migration and goods can move to and throw. Inward checks at entry points to Great Britain and Eire provide a robust control preventing unwanted incursion.

The European Union wants this border to close as it could allow a passenger to land at , say, Heathrow, travel to Belfast, then to Dublin, and fly to Paris. Without going through any form of EU passport control. And visa-versa.

Brexit case brought to the EU court of human rights

A small protest group today brought a case to the European Courts of Human Rights. Their claim is that they have been discriminated against by the EU in that they want to leave, and they are being blocked by various EU countries. Spain has brought the biggest counter claim but they are not expected to succeed. Should the case be upheld, in theory, this would be the last case brought to the European courts by a UK citizen.

Dartford bombings brings the Home Counties to a standstill

At seven o'clock today suicide bombers detonated two incendiary devices in both Dartford tunnels in a co-ordinated attack. It is unsure of how many people were in the tunnels at the time but both tunnels were full of commuters travelling to work on the last Friday before Christmas.

It is believed that the two large vans came to a halt near the center of each tunnel before the two suicide bombers detonated their devices. The massive fireballs exploded from both ends of each tunnel. By midday the eastern tunnel had collapsed closely followed by the western tunnel.

Traffic chaos is expected to ensue for many years to come.

This is the worst terrorist attack on UK soil since the 7/7 bombings in 2005.

The first day of Civil Service Strikes brings the UK to a standstill

The unofficial 'strike' by all civil service departments was launched today at 0600 and will finish tomorrow at the same time. The walkout came after MPs again voted to award themselves a 3.5% pay rise. The civil service has suffered cuts and restricted, or no pay rises for the last 15 years or so. After their unions refused to back a vote for a strike the civil servants organised themselves and called the walkout. This was on a threat of being sacked should they not turn up for work.

Unofficially over 90% did not arrive for work today costing the government millions.

The next walkout scheduled for next week is thought to also include members of the Police, Fire and NHS

New meat tax comes in to force today

To help combat climate change and to reduce greenhouse gas emission a new meat tax has been introduced by the UK Government. By encouraging people to think about what they eat the government is hoping to reduce greenhouse gas emission from livestock. By making meat a luxury food item means that tax can be charged on it.

Now there's a surprise! After a year of them going on about how much methane is given off by cows and the effect on the climate. The idiots in charge have introduced a bloody tax!. So what are they going to do now with the graving land that the farmers had for their cattle. Build more bloody houses on it I suppose! So that we can have more bloody humans that can fart, burp, and shit, producing even more methane! What with that and the shit MPs speak the ice caps will be melted within a month!

New driving rules introduced

In a bid to improve driving standards and safety a series of new examinations, licences and vehicle identification have been introduced.

The first is the standard driving test. All learning and driving examinations are now carried out in vans. This makes all drivers aware of the restricted visibility that some vehicles have. It is a two part test. The first is a manoeuvring test with a Q&A test. The second part is a daylight practical test. These are carried out on the same day with the practical phase only carried out on completion of the manoeuvring phase. Both parts must be completed at the same time and not on separate occasions. On passing the examination a driver can drive on all roads except motorways and M class A roads during daylight hours.

After 6 months and having obtained a minimum of 100 hours driving a new driver is eligible to undertake a night driving examination. This is a practical only examination and on passing a driver can drive day and night.

After a further 6 months of accident free driving an additional examination can take place entitling a driver to drive on motorways.

Vehicles are no longer given an identification plate. Instead the drivers licence has an identification number that stays with the licence holder. On entering a vehicle the driver inserts their licence in to the vehicle. An electronic number plate shows the driver's number and qualification level. Additionally a modified version of an IFF type device can pass further details to a police interrogation system.

The latest cars will not start until the licence has been inserted and a thumb print has been recognised. All new driver's cars and motorcycles are also fitted with speed limiters restricting the top speed to 50mph in the first year. This can be increased to 70mph in the second year as long as the driver receives no driving convictions in the first year.

Chaos ensues as Heathrow's third runway opens

The much argued over third runway at Heathrow opened this week to utter chaos. Most of the roads around the area came to a complete standstill, with the M25 queued almost all of the way round in both directions!

The problems started at four o'clock in the morning, some 5 hours before the first planes were due to depart. As with most openings it was delayed for a further 4 hours. Traffic heading to the airport was rapidly joining the queues..

Matters only worsened when the rush hour started to join the traffic at around 7:30. Total gridlock ensued that is not expected to clear throughout the rest of the day.

Home Office again accused of being unfit for purpose

A report released today by the Civil Service Watchdog has slammed the Home Office for a systemic failure to manage. The report has not criticised the actual workforce of Police and Border Force officers, but has instead tackled the management of these departments. It found that in Border Force over 70% of the senior management have never previously worked in a frontline role as either a customs or immigration officer. Of the remaining 30% many of them, although claimed to have worked on the frontline, in fact had a back seat role, or only worked there for a very short period of time. It also found that many senior managers within the Home Office had never previously worked in a law enforcement role and had been recruited externally. This, the report writes, has led to a failure of management to recognise the actual role of frontline officers and the hardships that they work under.

The report also condemns Home Office senior managers for being more obsessed with political correctness and inclusion, than it does with actually doing the job. Many rules had been introduced that either actively promotes people in to roles that they are actually unfit for just to meet a new target. It also found that in the previous year, nearly 4000 officers were suspended or investigated following allegations from managers, that were later simply dropped. There was never any comeback on the manager who put in the complaint and when the accused officer dared to complain back it was simply brushed aside.

A win for the motorist

Today Justice was given to the British motorist. On the 20th February 2019 Mr James Reader, 54 was caught up in an accident on the M25 near Dartford. Due to the long delay and the road being closed for over 4 hours, Mr Reader missed an appointment that caused him, and his company to lose a contract. The knock-on effect of this was that his company later collapsed with 36 people losing their jobs. Mr Davis QC, argued, that had Mr Reader not missed that meeting, it was a sure thing that he would have secured the contract and the company would not have failed.

Mr Reader had witnessed the accident and had dashcam footage of it all. With this evidence there would have been no doubt as to who and what had caused the accident. There were no serious injuries and the fire and ambulance services cleared the scene after less than an hour. Mr Davis then went on to account for the fact that the Police then kept the road closed for another hour and forty minutes whilst they carried out accident investigation work. This accident investigation is carried out on behalf of the insurance companies involved.

The Honourable Mrs Justice Taylor said that had the road been cleared once the persons involved were safe. Mr Reader would have made that appointment. She also said that it was unreasonable to keep the road closed for so long after it could have been cleared just to proportion blame for a financial interest. The Honourable Mrs Justice also said that it was also unlawful to delay the people in the traffic as they have a right of free movement within their own country. She found in favour of Mr Reader and awarded damages to him and the employees of his company. She also stated that anyone else who was delayed in this accident should seek legal advice to claim compensation.

University of Leicester report on climate change

A report issued by a scientific group of geologist from the University of Leicester was unearthed today. The report passed to government back in 2002 pointed out that global warming was a natural Earth cycle. It stated that the Earth in its long, billions of years history, does not usually have ice caps. It also pointed out that the Earth's average temperature is a lot higher than we are used to. The time that we are living in is less than 1% of the Earths lifecycle with dinosaurs outliving us by millions of years.

The report also goes on to say that we are actually living in what is considered to be an ice age, An interglacial period.

So are we causing global warming or was it going to happen anyway?

Police federation report on discrimination and inclusion

If you visit any police station you will find a notice board. And on this board you will find a multitude of groups in policing. These include: Black, Women, Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Muslim, Vegan, and just about every type of person that you can possibly think of. But what group has no special group, and in fact, these two groups are specifically blocked. What are these two groups? Yes, you guessed it Men in Policing and White Policing! Because every white officer is obviously racist, and every male officer is obviously sexist. You can be anything that you like, but don't dare be a white male police officer. You can't say policeman anymore, because that is sexist! And who is gradually joining the white male as being the worst thing ever - The straight, white, female.

The problems continue with a self fulfilling prophecy. Every time a black officer gets promoted, in  the back of your mind goes, they only got promoted because they are black. They may be the best officer for the job but with so many promotions of minorities over your straight, white, man and women it is only the ones that fail who are remembered.

This is even worse when you look at the coroner's report into the deaths of PCs Janette and Sophie Martin, Mother and Daughter. They committed suicide together after their Husband and Father, David, also a Police Officer, was killed in service. He was run over multiple times by an unidentified motorist in a stolen vehicle. The man was witnessed to have shouted that the white bastard deserved this. After the Metropolitan Police dropped the case Janette and Sophie vowed to continue with the case. They identified a Black man who was possibly the driver. After they stopped him a few times they were ordered to stop harassing him and both were accused of being racist. This case was pushed further up the chain of command with more effort, manpower and funding than was used to investigate the death of David!

After being put on a disciplinary charge for racism and being suspended. Both officers signed a pact and a suicide note and then committed suicide together in the family home.

New car construction rules come in to play

With the UK now separate from the rest of the world car manufactures can now introduce their own designs into UK specific vehicles. These safety requirements have today entered law. Some of the more important changes include;

  • A remote black box is fitted to all new vehicles. This enables a vehicle to be brought to a controlled stop using remote stop systems and drone/satellite control. This stop system will eliminate the need for police pursuits and drastically reduce crashes.
  • Fog lights and vehicle lighting has many alterations. Fog lights must now switch off after a restart and when activated will automatically activate the car's speed limiter. The thinking behind this rule is that if the visibility is reduced enough to warrant fog lights then the speed must also be reduced for safety. This will also encourage fog lights to be switched back off once the fog has cleared. Drivers not activating the system when visibility is severely reduced will receive a level 4 penalty.
  • Vehicle lights are now restricted using lumens rather than wattage. This will cut the overly bright headlights and tail lights that have caused problems over the previous years.
  • Street lighting has also been restricted with the same lumen restrictions.

Millions expecting a payout after DVLA convicted of fraud

Today the high court ruled that the DVLA had committed fraud. This was when a vehicle that was sold could claim road tax from the next full month. The new owner could only pay road tax for the current full month. This effectively meant that a vehicle could have paid road tax twice in one month! the court deemed that this was effectively fraudulent and that the DVLA should recompense the seller of the vehicle.

The court demanded that the DVLA would be responsible for paying back the months road tax on every privately sold vehicle since the system was introduced. There would be no claims process as the DVLA should have all of the records to hand. if the payments were not made within the next 6 months then the court ruled that there would be financial penalties issued.

In-Hub electric motors retrofit.

With the UK losing its reliance on oil and turning to Fusion power for energy, personal transport needed to adapt. Land Rover's new in-hub wheel motors has been developed in to a viable vehicle retrofit. All motor manufactures had started using all electric vehicles and this kit was fitted to most older vehicles. The kit removes the vehicles wheel hubs and drive shafts and replaces them with the in-hub motors. An adapter converts the motor fittings to the vehicles existing hubs. The engine and ancillaries are removed and replaced with the required battery pack and associated control systems. There are a lot of software upgrades that are required and many control systems such as heating, brakes, and body electrics. 4 wheel drive and AWD models have hubs fitted to each wheel with the AWD option available to many other vehicles as an option.

This all electric modification has been funded by the tax payer and oil industry assets.

Comac introduce the aircraft plasma engine

The Chinese aircraft manufacture Comac today introduce their first commercial aircraft running a virtually carbon neutral engine. The Air Plasma engine powers the C922 and can carry 204 passengers with a range of 2750nm. Although the aircraft is classed as carbon neutral it does release some due to the electrical generators onboard. Nowhere near as much as a conventional aircraft. In fact tests have shown that it is less than 10% when compared to a conventional jet engine.

The air plasma engine works by compressing the air entering the engine to high pressures and then uses microwaves to ionise the air into a plasma before igniting it. the result is a high energy propulsion system that uses no fuel.

Unidentified Submersible Object reported by Somali pirates

A Somalian pirate crew were picked up today in the Indian Ocean by an Indian Navy frigate. Their craft had been damaged and sunk forcing the crew to abandon ship. Their story was not all that believable though. The crew all stated under interrogation that they had been attacked by a giant sea monster!

They claimed that they were fishing in shallow waters when the sea monster passed under their boat. It looked like a diamond with a long tail according to one crew member. it then turned quickly under their boat and crashed into the hull, breaching it. The boat started to take on water and was soon listing. Eventually the crew had to abandon ship.

Fortunately INS Satpura was in the region having been alerted to pirate activity by the British container ship MV Atlantic Supreme.

Disaster strikes the east coast

As the proposed year that the Thames Barrier would no longer be needed the oft predicted 100 year wave struck. As the sea levels increased the barrier began to raise. but due to a lack of maintenance and funding one of the rotating gates faltered and jammed before fully closing. As the sea started to spill over water levels in London started to rise with the low lying areas under nearly a foot of water. Fortunately the barriers on-call engineer, Roy Hardman managed to repair the failed gate allowing it to close fully. London was protected from serious flooding. Transport for London, the department responsible for London's flood defences after they took it from the Environment Agency, have already been criticised and are expected to be called before the London Assembly.

The rest of the East coast, from Ramsgate to Grimsby was not so lucky. Sea defences were breached in many areas. Budget cuts and a lack of funding played a big part in many of the problems. Incomplete sea defences had sea water flood around and behind them. Much of the low lying levels of Norfolk was flooded including large areas of Sandringham Estate.

The cost of repairs is expected to be in the millions. Fortunately their was no loss of life.

ISIS staged Palestinian attack against Israel foiled

An attack coordinated by ISIS and the ruling Palestinian Caliphate was completely foiled today by an allied force led by the US. As the ISIS troops moved across the border into Israel, which was lightly defended after years of rocket and terrorist attacks, the Israeli's were evacuating to the Mediterranean Sea to the Allied ships there. The evacuation was well underway leaving just the IDF to defend against the invaders. It appeared that once again the Israeli's were about to lose their country.

Without warning a salvo of missiles were believed to be fired from the two US Zumwalt class destroyers escorting the fleet. These missiles arced into the sky, separating into multiple warheads and making direct, precision hits on each and every armoured vehicle the ISIS troops had. Others fragmented obliterating the troops and destroying their backup and supporting units.

The IDF took immediate advantage of this attack, pressing ahead and once again securing their borders.

The US denied the attack was orchestrated by themselves. Their mission reports stated that the missiles were fired from their position but came from the sea nearby.

Report to Commander-in-Chief, US Army on the political nature of the UK

Intelligence reports believe that the UK has become basically a communist state. They have disbanded their government and set up a peoples voting system. Although the lives of the people has improved since they closed their borders there is still a lot of unrest. We should continue with operation yellow fever in the UK.

We are still attempting to infiltrate their energy production facilities but this is proving difficult due to their obsessive checks on only employing UK nationals

The UK its self is very well protected. Their overseas territories on the other hand are only lightly protected. Although we believe that the UK has some kind of hidden military systems that we do not know anything about. This was proved when the Spanish invaded Gibraltar.

We believe that they are having funding issues as they have started shutting some of their large Hospitals, They have also upped the retirement age to 75 years old. Again, under the new regime, this is expected to change.

Other than this the UK is still very secretive and has taken control of Ireland, forcing them in to submission and exerting their rule.

University and College fees scrapped for some courses

With a shortage of core, essential workers the Ministry of Education has set in to motion a new funding system for certain educational courses. Historically medical courses at college has put the average student in to thousands of pounds worth of debt. Many of them owing more than £50,000 that would have to be paid back during their career.

The new system means that the college fees for many essential courses are now free. The student pays the debt back by working for the state for a period of years after completing their training. Should they take up private work then the debt would be need paying back in full. These essential courses include, trades such as electrical, plumbing, and engineering; medical, teaching, and sciences.

Non-essential courses such as art, literature, and other subjects that do not have a trade after the course would still be charged as before.

By 2050 the worlds population is predicted to increase by 2.5 billion people

The question posed back in the early 2000's was how are we going to feed these people. It took 30 years before it was realised that this was the wrong question. The question really was; 'how are we not going to have another 2.5 billion mouths to feed'. Today restrictions in benefits come in to force. Child benefits will be paid at 100% for the first child, 50% on the second child with no further payments to be made after that. It is hoped that this will help to keep the UK's population in check, although it is expected to cause a fair amount of uproar from some of the population.

Food production has also been looked at with grants being made to the algae farms around the UK coast and the experimental artificial meat production facilities in Lincolnshire, Oxfordshire, and Dorset. Once these systems are up and running at peak efficiency the food crisis should be alleviated to some degree.

New Schooling comes in to place today

The education system has been failing for years. Not through the fault of the teachers but through successive government controlling measures on performance, political correctness, statistics, and equality. Schools have been judged on exams passed and numbers of students. Funding is then allocated on this statistic. This has lead to a group of students that have never failed at anything and think that everyone panders to them. Leading to an unfit workforce.

The new system has it emphasis on socialisation and education.

Socialisation tackles social skills that need to be learnt to enable a student to perform in adult life. Classes are now split into ability rather than age and equality. It was found that classes had 10% top performers, 80% Average students, and 10% under performers. Some of the lower 10% needed special training and would be catered for separately. The new classes put the students to their ability level. With some students in top classes in some subjects but in lower classes in other subjects.

The emphasis is on reading, writing, arithmetic, and problem solving. The old school system had a specific list of books that could be read. These were politically correct and geared towards female readers. Many books had warnings associated with them and many were banned from schools. The new system recognises that girls read different books to boys, and that everyone enjoys a different book to everyone else. The thinking is that anything that a child is reading is a good thing. A review is then expected to be written about the book.

Maths has always taught many obscure, advanced maths. It is only when students leave school do they realise that hardly any of it is used in adult life. The emphasis is placed on mental arithmetic, budgeting, taxes, and interests. Later as a student progresses can more advanced skills be introduced.

Problem solving introduces a child to individual thinking. It is often thought of as play in younger children. As the child progresses through school specific tasks are given with limited, or no guidance on how to complete the task. This gives children the opportunity to develop analytical skills and often results in some unusual solutions.

In the child's later years specialised subjects can be introduced with work experience and college interspersed. Once at college the student can develop the skills needed for their career choice,

Daedalus Radio Telescope Operational

After some delay the British Astronomical Society's Daedalus telescope is finally operational. Situated in the Daedalus crater on the moon's far side, it is ideally located to block radio transmissions from Earth. The craters 3km high boundary walls and its 93km base make for a perfect location. The base of the crater has been coated in polymer substance commonly know as 'snot' due to its thick, mucus like, texture. This sealed the crater's base and reduces the amount of dust found on the moon.

It is expected for the first images to be made public within a month.

Project Sombrero

The first phase of the joint Scandinavian/UK sunshade satellites have deployed today. The seven 100km diameter shades have successfully deployed and are working at 100% efficiency. Built at the Moon's Armstrong construction site has reduced launch costs and made deployment easier. The shades will eventually reduce the suns effect on Earth by around 2% effectively eliminating global warming. They are stationed at the L1 LaGrange point between the sun and Earth. And over the next 10 years the entire shade will be over 1000km across. As an added bonus the satellites are fitted with solar cells. The energy generated is converted to a laser and beamed back to one of a series of energy capture satellites in high Earth orbit. These then beam the energy back to the North Sea energy bank providing power to Scandinavia, Great Britain, and Iceland.

As technology goes, the Sombrero project could be the first stage of creating a Dyson swarm.

Archeological dig 125 metres North of Newgrange, Co. Meath

Trench 4 uncovered what can only be described as a mass grave. So far 79 bodies have been extracted from the grave. There are no objects only bones and some imprints in the soil. Examination of the bodies has shown that none of them are taller than 5 feet tall, with most shorter than that. All have injuries suggesting a violent death. Most of these are from blades but some appear to have, what can only be described as, bullet wounds. We have in fact found a type of bullet at the bottom of the grave.

The skeletons are slightly different from a human skeleton. The bones are lighter, more akin to an avian structure than human. Their back and shoulders are well developed. Imprints in the soil show signs of a fibrous structure attached to their backs. There are even indications of wings, similar to a dragonfly's wings.

Debrief of PFC Cysewski, US Marine corps

After contact report by NCIS/FBI investigators post US Embassy attack, Kabul, Afghanistan. RESTRICTED

Agent "Can you please tell me the situation so far PFC Cysewski?"

PFC Cysewski "Yes Sir. The insurgents had been attacking the embassy for around 5 hours. They had breached the outer perimeter wall about an hour previously, and were now blowing holes through the inner wall. There were about 20 Marines still active and preparing for the worst."

Agent "Where was the Ambassador and the other civilians?"

PFC CYSEWSKI "The Ambassador and most of her staff were secured in the safe house. The rest were holed up in the main building with 4 Security Contractors."

Agent "Was you expecting any backup?"

PFC Cysewski "The QRF from Pakistan had been called but were held up over 10 miles away. Air support was on it's way but would be over an hour still. We just had to hold out until then."

Agent "So once the insurgents breached the inner perimeter, what were your personal thoughts?"

PFC Cysewski "I thought that we were screwed. That it was time to meet my maker. I had never seen so many rockets being fired. It was amazing that the building was still standing. I though 'This is it!' It was then that assistance did come though"

Agent "And what assistance was that?"

PFC Cysewski "I heard, no, felt something pass overhead. Then, seemingly from nowhere, these armored figures appeared. They was difficult to make out due to some sort of camouflage, but they were there. They appeared almost within the insurgents line and immediately opened fire. Their guns were silent and they were firing lasers from their shoulders. I've never seen so many drop, so quickly before."

Agent "Armored soldiers? What like knights?"

PFC Cysewski "Yeah. No! I don't know. They didn't seem to be taking any hits. I even saw one just shrug off an RPG!"

Agent "So these knights just fought alongside you?"

PFC Cysewski "No, not along side. They just beat the insurgents away on their own. I think we were all so gob smacked that we just stood and watched."

Agent "Any idea who they were Private?"

PFC Cysewski "Hell Yeah! They were Brits. I thought we was at war with them but they obviously don't think so"

Agent "What makes you think that they were British Soldiers?"

PFC Cysewski "Well after the insurgents ran away they turned towards us. There were 6 of them. They lowered their weapons and walked towards us. One of them walked right up to me. I could clearly see on the helmet a Union Jack. Couldn't miss it. A god damn Union Jack. Why would the Brits be helping us?"

Agent "I can't answer that question now Private. Was there anything else that stood out from these soldiers? Any other markings or conversation?"

PFC Cysewski "Yes, the one that walked up to me also had some sort of bird icon on the front of her helmet as well."

Agent "Her?"

PFC Cysewski "Yes her. She lifted her visor when she got near. She was beautiful! Said 'hello' and that she wouldn't be staying and promptly joined her team mates, exited through the remains of the front gates, climbed in to three Land Rovers, and were gone"

Agent "What sort of accent did she have?"

PFC Cysewski "I would say Irish. I'm not very good with accents, and the helmet confuses things. But definitely Irish!"

Agent "Thank you Private. You have been a great help. I will leave you now but another team will be here soon to ask about the equipment these soldiers had and to continue the debrief. You may go now."

The first full space drop

An orbital strike was carried out today in Afghanistan by 2 Para this morning. They had deployed from a dropship in low orbit, free falling through the atmosphere using modified Segomo hard suits, before deploying their chutes at low altitude. A completely silent approach saw the 14 hostages rescued and returned to the French embassy without the loss of a single life.

Distress call from the US spaceship Hermes on transfer orbit from Earth to Mars

Assistance was refused by the US when the spaceship Hermes suffered a serious hull breach. With less than 72 hours breathable atmosphere remaining the UK tasked two Spitfires and a Tanto from the RSF to assist. The 5 crew were removed from the Hermes and transferred to safety aboard the Tanto. They were flown to Mars where they remain today.

The American Space Agency, NASA, accused the UK of piracy saying that they had the situation under control.

A space tug recovered the Hermes and towed her to the new orbital station, Gradivus,  in orbit around Mars.

Spitfire F113 accelerating past Jupiter

At 2014 GMT Spitfire F113 Royal Canadian Navy was damaged during combat with a North Korean space fleet. Although not badly damaged the Spitfire's EmDrive controller was compromised causing the Spitfire to accelerate. Pilot, Flight Lieutenant John Higgins, was uninjured in the catastrophe and his liquid inertial compensation system protected him as the Spitfire accelerated at it's maximum 21g thrust.

It wasn't long before the Spitfire approached 50psl (percent the speed of light and was continuing to accelerate. Einstein's famous equation was about to be put to the test!

By the time Neptune's orbit was reached John had reached 99psl. He was definitely now the fastest man that had ever lived. What surprised scientist was that the Spitfire continued to accelerate still, beyond the standard speed of light. Einstein was wrong. The theory that had been engrained in to science was wrong.

It took John just over a week to return after gaining control of his scraft. During that time the Spitfire reach 170psl! Time dilation made it appear to John that he had only been gone for a few days. According to the Spitfires onboard systems there were no cause for concern, and other than the fault to the acceleration control, all systems were within operational limits. In theory the scraft could continue accelerating.

"Well initial checks are proving to be inconclusive. We have no DNA, fingerprints, or any other database records. We do, however, have a facial recognition hit. It is on an old database image though."

"Well, what is it?"

"It is from a CCTV image from the Channel Tunnel. 92% match. It is him, without a doubt."

"Show me...…… Just when was this image captured then?"

"Err, April 16th 2001."

Cyclone Lorraine kills over 500,000 and leaves millions more homeless in India

One of the worst natural disasters struck late yesterday evening. After forming in the Bay of Bengal it headed north and eventually made landfall across Calcutta and headed in to Bangladesh. By this morning rescue and relief efforts were starting to arrive. First on the scene and by far the most unusual came from the British. With India being a Commonwealth country the UK provides far more than defence and technology.

A fleet of medical shuttles spread across the area and a swarm of drones looked for the stranded, and those in most need of assistance. By lunch time heavy lift shuttles were dropping what they called rescue cans, 20 foot shipping containers, full of food and supplies across the area, and in to isolated, and cut-off regions. These rescue cans then provide sleeping accommodation for 10, with water filtration and toilet facilities.

With each container dropped off another 10 people have somewhere to sleep and care for themselves. The RFA Nightingale is on route from South Africa to provide on-site medical and back-up support and will arrive by tomorrow morning.

The beginning of a new French Civil War

Back in 2019 statisticians were reporting that Muslims will out number Christians by 2050. They weren't really that far out. They pointed out that the average Christian family had 1.9 children, where as the average Muslim family had 2.9 children. So by 2050 the Muslim population will outnumber the Christian population in many countries around the world. It came to a head in Paris when the majority Muslim National Assembly overruled the Government on Sharia law being enforced in many areas of France. The populace came out in protest. Not just Christians, but moderate Muslims as well. Many of whom had escaped from such a society and didn't want it in France. They were met by the now majority extremist Muslims. It wasn't long before violent clashes consumed Paris. The Police had the thankless task of trying to quell the disturbance. But over the coming days they gradually began to choose a side. Within the next week the military were called to restore order. But they again began to choose a side, firing at the Muslims more than the Christians. This civil unrest would last nearly 6 months and only really came to an end when Germany stepped in with UN backing and brought the country back under control. Unfortunately for the extremist Muslims they were nearly wiped out. Not just by the non-Muslim faiths, but also by the Moderate Muslims who wanted to bring about a change to their faith. They argued that history has shown that the minority has often brought the majority in to their wars. Germany brought the World to War with a minority Nazi movement. And this must never be allowed to happen again. The majority must prevail.

The survey mission to Alpha Centauri has found evidence that an advanced civilisation that occupied two planets in the system became extinct nearly 15000 years ago. The survey team has found many artifacts and remains of an advanced organic species. Extensive radioactive and corrosive atmospherics indicate that the entire population on both planets was annihilated at around the same time.

The first non-terrestrial life has been found on another planet. Not in another Solar System, but our nearest neighbour - Venus! The Japanese Akatsuki satellite has been orbiting Venus since 2015. Its orbit has been slowly degrading over the years but it has still been transmitting data. On the 22nd November at 0530 GMT the probe started to enter Venus's atmosphere. The Japanese Space Agency was monitoring the decent when the probe detected the bacteria living in the Sulphuric Acid clouds. The race is now on to send a follow up mission to confirm the discovery and to provide further study.

Translation of cuneiform on Alpha Centauri Dig25B

"So Doctor Morgan. What does it say?"

Michelle took a deep breath. "Well fortunately cuneiform was translated a long time ago. This is the old symbol form of Sumerian cuneiform. This symbol means 'Monkey or Ape'. And this, this is a warning - to keep away, Danger!"

"Is this a warning for us not to go any further. Is someone threatening us?"

"Not exactly. I think it is more of a warning to others not to go any further. This further set of symbols took some working out. It was the a/scraft's navigator who recognised it. It is our system - Earth! I think they are warning others to avoid us! We, humans, are the threat!"

Has the fabled ninth Planet been found?

The British exploration craft, Solar Explorer, has reported sighting of a large planet outside the Kuiper Belt of Earth's solar system. The planet is about twice the size of Earth and almost completely black. Initial scans show an atmosphere that is laden with gold nanoparticles. The planet is producing no emissions nor releasing any abnormal heat signatures. The planet is on a highly elliptical orbit that takes it way outside of the solar system and back in to the Kuiper belt. Probes have been deployed and a survey mission is expected to be sent sometime next year.

Commanders Log RSF Seeker - Commander G Miller - Location Tau Ceti system 11 light years distance.

Our mission was to survey the nearest stars to Sol. This is our third system but this one has what appears to be a habitable planet. The science team tell me that initial scans show the 5th planet to be almost a twin of Earth. A breathable atmosphere and a 80% liquid H2O surface and a geologically stable land mass. Quite unbelievable!

The crew have started referring to the planet as 'Eden' the mythical gardens. Although I can't help thinking that every Science Fiction novel I have read, Eden is never as its name suggests; from Phillip Richards war torn Bosque region in his Union Army series, to Stewart Cowley's Psychotropic flora. Nothing is ever what it seems.

I have scheduled the Legion Section to recce the planet tomorrow morning so I will have a better idea then.

Technically they are qualified to operate this craft! The Chief is Captain qualified, The two pilots can fly this StarCraft and pretty much anything else, and the engineer is class 1 qualified. That's better than our own engineer!"

"Do you think they are going to try and take command?"

"Hell no! They are down below drinking beer and laughing about their VR party they had when they completed their training. They have even asked about some real life practical experience."

Space tug Svitzer Nebula, approaching Mars

The terraforming of Mars was about to begin in earnest. The first of many deep space asteroids was about to be placed into orbit before being dropped in to the Martian atmosphere. The Svitzer Nebula had hauled the 700,000 ton iceberg from outside the planet Pluto's orbit. Tests showed that the asteroid was solid water with just a few contaminants. The idea is to bring the appropriate asteroids such as water and greenhouse gases and to either burn them up in the Martian atmosphere or break them down into smaller packets and parachute them down safely to the surface. Others will be placed in orbit and used as construction materials.

Another perfect planet found in Luyten 789-6

A forest moon, nicknamed Endor, has been found orbiting a gas giant in Luyten. A breathable, Earth like atmosphere with 0.8g gravity. At first it seemed to good to be true. The disturbing fact was the lack of fauna. Most planets found with an atmosphere and flora has atleast the most primitive of lifeforms but Endor has none. The next issue was whilst felling trees for structures and clearance. There was only one large ring across the cuts. Tree rings usually form with each year of growth. A single ring showed that all of the cut trees were less than one local year old.

Daily Mail News Report - Terrorist attack against Earth's Transit Anchorage Foiled by Exploration Craft

The UK exploration vessels Cook and Scott, foiled a terrorist attack today saving hundreds of lives. The Iranian mining vessel 'Delvar' had been taken over by ISIS sympathisers on its approach to Earth Anchorage. The craft was on a collision course with the anchorage and had it impacted the aftermath could have been devastating. Not just for those on the station but also the fragmentation effect of other orbiting equipment. It is possible that it could have started a chain reaction destroying virtually everything in Earth orbit.

Fortunately the attack was foiled by the two British Exploration Craft docked at the anchorage. Although both craft were powered down with their weapons inhibited their recon probes were still active. Both craft launched all of their Huginn reconnaissance drones. These high-tech saucers rapidly accelerated towards the Delvar, carrying out, what was essentially, a drone suicide attack against the Iranian craft. The fast relative impact speed of the Huginn and Delvar obliterated all of the craft and saved the great Anchorage station from annihilation.

Scientist discover that the World's animal population has been diminishing dramatically

The World Sciences Organization (WSO) has today released a report into the diminishing animal population around the globe. The report has noted that whole herds of animals seem to have simply 'disappeared'. This is not just from a single area, but in every country on the planet.

The report also goes on to state that this disappearance is not limited to a certain type of animal but also includes; aquatic animals, birds, insects, carnivores, and herbivores alike. Some of the near extinct species may well now be extinct as there have been no sightings of them of the past year or so.

In some ways this is not surprising as large swathes of Africa plains, South American Rain Forest, and Atlantic sea bed have all been developed over the last couple of decades. The WSO believes that it is now too late to stop the decline and that the Earth will become an entirely industrial planet.

Monkeys! that's what we are. One of the most violent and aggressive species that the universe ever spawned. Yeah there are bigger and more aggressive creatures out there. But are they really a problem? Earth's Lions could easily kill you but they only did it to protect their families or because they were hungry. Monkeys on the other hand, kill for fun, for a bit of land, for what they think is theirs. Any excuse really. That's why the Commonwealth want us oldies.
