Missiles and Torpedoes

Sting

The sting missile is a High IQ intercept and attack missile. It is capable of air, space, and surface attacks. it is fitted with an AESA radar with a wide field of view to prevent against sudden target avoidance at terminal range. The IQ-4 tracking system can anticipate target movements even over extreme ranges in space and BVR in planetary combat.

The sting has a loiter space mode enabling its use as an ad-hoc mine.

EgDisc "Frisbee"

EgDiscs are the latest missile munition in use by the United Kingdom. As their name suggest they are discoid in shape. Each one is fitted with integral opal packs and an EgDrive. Capable of being launched from the surface, air, and space at ground, air, and space targets. They are fitted with an IQ-5 tracking and targetting system enabling Hi IQ tracking and anticipation of the target.

Target tracking is carried out by optical analysis, IFF identification, Thermal targeting, and active radar homing. All of these tracking systems are 360° aware.

EgDs come in a variety of sizes;

  • Mini - for use in back pack launchers and hard suits. 50mm diameter.
  • Standard - for use in ground vehicles and portable launching systems. 300mm diameter.
  • Maxi- for use in armoured vehicles and aircraft. 510mm diameter.

EgDs usually rely on their high speed and kinetic energy to cause damage to a target. Payloads can be carried with the size corresponding to the size of the EgD. Payloads include:

  • Explosive
  • Molecular acid
  • Biohazard delivery
  • EMP area burst
  • Blitz multi-missile fragmentation
  • Havoc carbon strand net
  • Intel Analysis Unit

All EgDiscs are fitted with a remote/timed self destruct system.
